Labour have no plan to prevent our population explosion

Immigration of 431,000 a year is certainly not something to be celebrated

The Office for National Statistics has just released another set of figures proving what we already knew – Labour’s tough posturing on immigration is nothing more than empty words. 2024’s net immigration figures are still running at a historical high of 431,000. It’s clear Labour have no plans to end this population explosion.

Since 2022, net migration has hit over 2.5 million. In just a few years, the Tories let a population the size of West Yorkshire into Great Britain. Let that sink in.  Now might be a good time to reflect on what mass immigration has done for us.

The UK simply cannot cope with this level of immigration – our housing market, healthcare system, and prison infrastructure are all buckling under the strain. The UK now has one of the worst hospital bed shortages of all OECD and European countries

Prison capacity is overwhelmed, with facilities in England and Wales at 98 per cent capacity. Recent analysis shows that the overall imprisonment rate of foreign nationals is 27 per cent higher than for British citizens.

At the start of the pandemic, the NHS backlog for consultant led elective care was at 4.6 million. Now, that number stands strong at 7.46 million.

We cannot progress and grow as a country if mass immigration continues to cost the British taxpayer £14 billion a year.

Just 30 years ago, around 7 per cent of our workforce was foreign born. Today that number stands at over 21 per cent.

In the 90s, cheap foreign labour accounted for 20 per cent of the low skilled job market, that figure has now ballooned to 60 per cent. Instead of training our own people, the government has opted to instead endanger British jobs and lower the overall pay.

Of the 1.1 million visas issued in the UK in 2024 only 22 per cent went on to apply for work and contribute to our economy.

Clearly, this is not in our best interests, but it is exactly what establishment leaders like Kemi Badenoch and Keir Starmer have been pushing for. Both of them have publicly endorsed no limits on visas and a pathway for increased citizenship. Yet, as the statistics show, this has proven to be a nightmare for the country.

While the population has been exploding, the economy hasn’t. Since Q4 of 2022, GDP per capita has fallen in six of the last eight quarters. 90 per cent of new jobs have now gone to foreign born workers, the vast majority of which are on low wages.

The population explosion has placed massive strain on our economy, our public services, and our housing market. No other party is treating this with the urgency that it demands. This is nothing less than a national emergency.

This hasn’t just damaged our national infrastructure and economy but it has also harmed our society and community cohesion, more than ever people are feeling like strangers in their own community.

The sense of betrayal around the country is palpable and it will only deepen until the mass immigration experiment that has been perpetuated by Labour and the Conservatives is finally stopped once and for all.

Only Reform is taking this seriously, and are truly aware of the dangers of letting in anyone who shows up on our doorstep.

Upon assuming office, we will freeze net migration, appoint a Minister for Deportations, ensuring that the deportation of foreign criminals is carried out efficiently and humanely. We will leave the ECHR.

The time has come to put this crisis at the top of the agenda. That is what the British people demand, and it is clearer than ever that only Reform will deliver it.
